As others stand at attention for anthem, Trump fidgets, points, pretend-conducts the band
The Miami Herald reported today:
“President Donald Trump has repeatedly said all Americans should “stand proudly” during the national anthem, and publicly chastises those who don’t as disrespectful of the troops and the flag.
“But during the national anthem at his own Super Bowl watch party Sunday night, a brief video posted to Instagram shows Trump greeting guests, adjusting his chair, and straightening his suit jacket as other attendees — including first lady Melania Trump and their teenage son — stand with their hands over their hearts. As “The Star Spangled Banner” crescendoes, Trump raises both of his hands in the air, and twirls them around as if conducting the music.”

So, Senators Rubio and Scott: Trump did this in your own State! Is this in the “nation’s interest?”
So, Senators Alexander, Murkowski, Gardner, McSally and all you other “uber-Patriotic” phonies: Is this the last straw for you? Is this an impeachable offense?
Let me remind you – exercising his freedom of speech, his right as an American to protest, by doing nothing more than honorably and quietly kneeling during the playing of the national anthem, was an impeachable offense for Colin Kaepernick. But this mocking of the national anthem by the SITING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is not? Really?!?
Senators, you’re voting tonight on Trump’s removal. Watch this video a few times before you cast your vote.

Final thought for all the 49er Faithful out there: Feel good about one thing – at least the team doesn’t have to visit the White House this year. And know, after the Niner victory in Super Bowl LV, Trump won’t be there!

I was going to comment on the backwards “hands over hearts” but figured I’d wait for the sharp eyes. My guess is that it was shot at a mirror, probably to be more “stealth.”
