“The notion of the federal stockpile was it’s supposed to be our stockpile. It’s not supposed to be states’ stockpiles that they then use.”

Commentary

New coronavirus Tsarevich Jared’s first pronouncement hits a chord…the wrong one!

My intention was to make this Around the Block the shortest in history:

Jared Kushner, גענוג!*

(*Genug, Yiddish for “enough,” something I’m sure the orthodox Kushner would understand.)

That was going to be it.

But then, as a public service, I thought I’d provide a little context.

From the New York Times:

After saying that states should use their own stockpiles first, Kushner on Thursday said, “And the notion of the federal stockpile was it’s supposed to be our stockpile. It’s not supposed to be states’ stockpiles that they then use.”

And asked what Kushner meant by “our stockpile,” Trump snapped at a reporter*, “You know what our means: United States of America…our. Our. It means the United States of America.”

(*Just to be clear, Trump called it a “gotcha question,” “a nasty question.”)

And then, this, also from the Times:

Until Friday, the federal Health and Human Services website had described the stockpile as “the nation’s largest supply of life-saving pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for use in a public health emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out.

“When state, local, tribal, and territorial responders request federal assistance to support their response efforts, the stockpile ensures that the right medicines and supplies get to those who need them most during an emergency.”

Mysteriously, after the Trump and Kushner statements, the language of the website changed:

…the changed version available Friday morning said the stockpile’s “role is to supplement state and local supplies during public health emergencies. Many states have products stockpiled, as well. The supplies, medicines, and devices for life-saving care contained in the stockpile can be used as a short-term stopgap buffer when the immediate supply of adequate amounts of these materials may not be immediately available.”

So this post is a little longer than I had hoped. But I wanted to make sure you all were aware, as if you weren’t already, how Emperor Donald, Tsarevich Jared and the cowardly toadies in the U.S. Politburo/HHS Department are helping us get through this crisis.

Jared Kushner, גענוג!

Donald Trump, גענוג!

  1. We all know we’re living in a science fiction surreal world, but hearing/reading the stupefying shit coming out of these idiots’ mouths makes me want to plunge a knife somewhere. Sickening

    1. I have a wonderful knife sharpener. Let me know when you’re ready! But be aware, as this communication is probably being monitored by the TBI (Trump Bureau of Investigation), I won’t tell you where to “plunge that knife.” But why should we be worried. It’s a free county with free speech. And we will always be protected by the Intelligence Community Inspector General. Wait, what? He was fired? And replaced by a TT (Trump Toady)? Oh my!
