With Trump, the Founding Fathers must be turning over in their graves

News with a Twist

Actually, they’re doing a lot more than that

Note, the video in this post has received almost 400,000 YouTube views. With that kind of exposure, it’s likely you’ve already seen it. But even if you have, it’s so great it deserves multiple views. And many thanks to the friends and readers who forwarded it to me, giving me the opportunity to re-post it in Around the Block..

As we go from one Constitutional crisis to another, many people ask, “What would the Founding Fathers think?” And, how would they judge Donald Trump’s unprecedented assault on the rule of law? The conventional answer: “They must be turning over in their graves.”

But now, through the magic of YouTube, we know they’re doing a lot more than just turning over. They’re making their voices heard. They’re defending their creation, the Constitution of the United States from the slings and arrows of Trump and his toadies. They’re doing something that never appeared in their biographies or in the history books.

They’re singing!

    1. Right. But of course it came with the caveat (my interpretation): “Trump should just let “Lower the Bar” do what you he appointed him to do. He’s fully capable of screwing up the country without your help.”

    1. It should be licensed by every Democratic candidate for their campaign ads. And, cut down into :60 second segments and run as commercials on Fox everyday; Bloomberg can pay for that! And then played at the beginning and end of each day at the Democratic Convention. Played so much that everyone, that is everyone in the country can sing it in their sleep!
